Pennyfarthing Homes, has donated £4,000 to the local primary school in Fordingbridge to assist them with funding school projects. On June 18th a representative from Pennyfarthing Homes presented a giant cheque to the Executive Head Teacher of Fordingbridge Primary School, Kim Robertson.
Insufficient funding is an ongoing challenge for any primary school in the UK and the New Forest is no exception. Kim Robertson explains, “Ensuring that we can provide a safe and secure environment for our children is a priority for us, but balancing the books to ensure this happens is no easy feat.”
Robertson continued: “I can’t thank Pennyfarthing Homes enough for this generous donation. It makes a significant contribution towards a project to replace some fencing that we have been desperate to address for some time and will now be able to make a reality.”
Several children joined the celebration, enjoying a brief spell in the playground.
Sheetal Smith, Sales and Marketing Director for Pennyfarthing Homes, commented: “We are thrilled to collaborate with Fordingbridge Primary School and are delighted to give something back to the community. At Whitsbury Green, we are building 64 new homes, and we hope that some of the children from our new community will attend this wonderful village school. We trust that this donation will have a positive impact, and we look forward to fostering a long and positive relationship in the years to come.’
