Residents now enjoying life at Spring Meadows, the Pennyfarthing Homes’ development in Fontmell Magna have high praise for the vibrant community spirit which has quickly developed as each home has become occupied.

Being part of an active and friendly community has been one of the benefits for residents at a new Dorset development and they say this has totally enriched their lives.

New residents have said that the mix of ages that the development attracts has fostered firm friendships with everyone looking out for each other.

Among those singing the praises of the community benefits at Spring Meadows are Hilary and Martin Wildbur who have settled into their new life after five moves in two years.

The couple, both in their early 70s, say they have quickly become part of a great community and feel right at home.

Hilary, a former head teacher, commented: “You could say we’ve been on a long journey to find our next home and we really feel this is perfect for us. We have very friendly neighbours and it’s a small, exclusive development which feels just right. It’s lovely to see a range of different ages.”

For Jenny McCarthy and Jake Claydon, the initial attractions of a new home at Spring Meadows were the idyllic setting and quality of their new three-bedroom home but that was quickly joined by the fast-growing friendships.

Jenny explains: “Spring Meadows is everything we ever wanted. The countryside location, beautiful surroundings, and the warm sense of community was so compelling. Living here is a dream come true. We couldn’t be happier.”

And this sense of community encompasses all ages groups with first time buyers Sophie May and Jack Gunter also enjoying this aspect of their new life in Dorset.

Both in their early 20s, they had a long search for a new home and discounted many options with homes too crammed in and soulless.

That all changed when they visited the Pennyfarthing Homes’ development. “Spring Meadows felt exclusive, appealing and we met very friendly people living here. We already know all our neighbours which is lovely,” said Sophie.

Sheetal Smith, Pennyfarthing Homes’ Sales and Marketing Director said this kind positive feedback from buyers was heartwarming and demonstrates how important it is to create new developments where community spirit thrives.

“Community has always been at the heart of Pennyfarthing Homes’ philosophy. The company firmly believes that a strong community contributes to the overall well-being and happiness of its residents. By nurturing a sense of belonging, we help create vibrant and cohesive neighbourhoods where residents can thrive. We are proud to see the bonds that are formed and the positive impact it has on our communities.”

Sheetal added: “Our mission is not just to build high quality new homes which attract buyers of all ages but create developments where communities can grow and to hear that our buyers have already forged friendships is wonderful and spurs us on to replicate this in all of our future developments.”
